You choose what stays.
No account required. Kept words live on this device. Your moment is used for your current reading.
Private journal and public community
Selected-verse moments, responses, and notes stay on this device by default. A record is uploaded only when you opt in and press Publish publicly, independently of the matching-data setting above. Free text and passages needing context are reviewed first; only preset responses to a small approved set may appear immediately. Passages involving high-risk contexts such as violence, self-harm, or abuse remain available for private reflection but do not enter the general public feed.
Public content can be read, copied, or shared by others. The community allows only structured support actions, not free-text replies; support does not mean agreement with an interpretation or action. Withdraw a response from your personal records in Kept words or Community. Only the browser holding your device key can manage it. Administrative concentration metrics count only records explicitly uploaded to the community and never read private device journals.
Reading plans and share cards
Your language and Bible edition choices are remembered in this browser for your next visit. Opening an edition-specific link does not change your defaults. Clearing device records also clears these preferences.
Reading-plan progress, moment bookmarks, and Today's passage stay only in this browser and do not sync. Today's passage remains for that day and one gentle next-day return, with no streak, backlog, or spiritual score. Reset a plan or clear all device records below. Personal card notes are processed in your browser; a shared link can include the note in its URL fragment, which anyone holding the full link can read or forward. Notes are not written to our database or link previews.
Calendar reminders work only after you download and import them into your own calendar. We do not send email or push reminders. Manage imported events, downloaded images, and forwarded links in the apps where you keep them.
How long is it kept?
Matching views and responses are removed by daily cleanup after 90 days; community records, including pending and hidden records and their support actions, after 365 days. Browser analytics cookies expire within 90 days; Google Analytics property event retention follows its account setting, which this code cannot inspect. Device collections and Today's passage remain until their own expiry, removal, or browser-data clearing. They do not automatically sync to other devices.
To limit abuse, the server briefly keeps hashed request-rate keys, not raw IP addresses. Editorial changes have an audit history that does not include reader free text.
Clear your records
Clear your device collection, Today's passage, private journal and preferences, turn off site analytics and clear analytics cookies, and delete linked matching contributions, community posts, support actions, and reports. Because analytics uses no account or user ID, previously aggregated events cannot be located or deleted per visitor. A non-login deletion marker is retained to stop older in-flight requests recreating deleted data.
If you clear browser storage first, this device key and analytics choice are lost. Older contributions can no longer be located by this device, but matching data is still removed after 90 days and community records after 365 days.
