Modern measurement range
One handbreadth
7.4–7.6 cm
2.91–2.99 in
Using the handbreadth estimate. The default centers on the ESV estimate of 7.5 cm; actual standards differed.
Calculate another amount →This is a small joinery dimension rather than a statement about the table's overall size; the body-based unit remains approximate.
What this conversion does—and does not—show
It gives a defensible modern scale for the amount stated in the verse. Ancient standards varied by time and place, so the endpoints are deliberately approximate. A volume is not a food mass, a metal weight is not a modern cash value, and a conversion does not settle a textual, archaeological, or theological debate.
